Extra Credit Information - Applies to All Classes
How is Extra Credit applied to my grade?
All extra credit will be added to your homework/completion grade category.
When can I do an extra credit assignment?
At any time during the grading period.
How many extra credit assignments can I do?
You can earn 15 points worth of extra credit assignments per grading period. You can do any combination of these assignments to earn the 15 points.
Where and when do I turn in extra credit?
Turn in extra credit assignments to the late/absent/extra credit bin at any time during the grading period.

EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS:
You may do one or more of the following assignments during each grading period, not to exceed 15 points:
Flashcards: 5 points (AP Biology ineligible)
Create 20 flashcards from the the current unit. 10 flashcards must be question/answer, with a question on one side and the answer on the other. The other 10 flashcards should be vocab word/definiton, with the word on one side and definition on the other. Use your warm-ups and assignments to help you come up with questions, and your unit cover page and textbook to come up with vocabulary.
Vocabulary Organizer 5 points (AP Biology ineligible)
Use this template (pdf to print) or this template (google doc for digital) and choose 8 words from the current unit to define, write into an example sentence, and draw and color a picture or find an exemplary image online.
Create 20 flashcards from the the current unit. 10 flashcards must be question/answer, with a question on one side and the answer on the other. The other 10 flashcards should be vocab word/definiton, with the word on one side and definition on the other. (You can also create a video/audio file of yourself instead of performing it live.)

Find a current event or science article that relates to a concept we’ve discussed in class. You can complete this assignment by printing it out or compelting it digitally, see both links below.

Choose a question from the "Wonder Wall" in our classroom to research, using reputable science sources. Create a colorful poster that clearly explains the answer to the Wonder Wall question. (Additional option: create a short video instead of a poster explaining the answer, and show it to the class or feature it on Mrs. d's Instagram!)
